Uniqlo’s premiere in Germany

Schwitzke Project builds Uniqlo flagship store in Berlin

The Japanese fashion chain Uniqlo starts its expansion in German-speaking countries with its first flagship store. The largest Uniqlo store in Europe, with a total sales area of 2,700 sqm on three levels, is located on Tauentzienstraße in Berlin. Within a construction period of five months, we carried out the construction and interior finishing works for the new store as a general contractor. Due to its complexity, the project required special diligence and accuracy in all trades, from massive modifications of the building structure via the implementation of technical trades all the way to façade works and furniture.

Highlights:
- LED lettering on all steps of the staircase
- High façade connecting two levels
- Ceiling breach for spacious two-level entrance area
- Glass display cabinets in XXL format
- Staircase area built as a display shelf over its entire height of 12 m
