Weltbild opens its 100th store designed by Schwitzke and Partner in Rhein-Neckar-Center
On May 21, 2012, Weltbild opened its 100th store designed by Schwitzke & Partner, located in Rhein-Neckar-Center in Viernheim, Germany. A further 48 stores are currently in the planning phase. While Schwitzke & Partner performs all conception and project management services for this store series, its sister company, general contractor Schwitzke Project, implements the store construction and fit-out works. Thus the client Weltbild receives first-rate, efficient service from one source.
The stores in this series have an average sales area of approx. 150 sqm. The typical design features are a glowing red entry portal and a lounge area with a play table for children. This area is highlighted in all stores by an extravagant, large round lighting furniture. The basic colors of the concept are red, white and grey; another typical element in Weltbild stores is a red carpet.
